The Challenge of Being on an Island by Yourself
December 22, 2016
In the 20+ years I've been in the chiropractic profession the biggest challenge I see most chiropractors deal with is being able to keep with all of the things going on around them, both in the chiropractic industry, as well as health care in general.
Since a majority of chiropractors are in solo practices they are not only responsible for providing care to their patients they must also deal with all the other aspects of their business, including the business side (billing, collections, staffing, marketing, compliance, etc.) Even with the internet and social media making it easier to keep an eye on what is going on outside the walls of their practice many chiropractors find it challenging to find the time to "lift their head out of their practice" and take a look around.
As most new chiropractors figure out once they start practice, the "business side" of their practice takes up a lot more of their time than they anticipated. That is why I recommend that chiropractors in this situation should find a trusted resource that can keep an eye and ear on new developments in health care and the chiropractic profession. That may be a consultant who has access to numerous information channels, chiropractic or health care related blogs, or a colleague that is able to help keep you up to date.
Feel free to contact us if you'd like to know how Cohesion Chiropractic Resource Group can help to be the "eyes and ears" of your practice.
